There are few things in Life which u would never wish to miss. I believe in destiny, It was a fine day when i heard about this indian writer. Well i am no shakespeare but i do read stories(write too). It wasnt a big deal for me as i had no interest. Plus the love for my native language Tamil has already made me read many stories of even unknown authours too. Yet it was a wild time where people coming to our college urges us to read novels to improve our grammar. So i finally thought i could give "5 pt someone" a shot.
Well i am not going to review it now.But its the first time i have ever read an english novel with not much of complex words and the story went in a really humorous way. From that point on, he became my favourite novel authour. I could say i didnt improve much with the grammar but with the humour quotient i thoroughly enjoyed myself. I read his later works too, but somehow the same style doesnt seem to work well for him though. Then he came back with his final novel at this point, "2 states"
As an indian i felt great reading the story. But as a tamilian,i was angry on chetan. No matter how you put it, his inner feelings to see Tamil people and Madarasis as black people is a racial arogance. He says he writes for the Indian youths. He shouldnt mislead them, It was like criticizing tamil people to the extreme and finally escaping with a nationalistic speech. Nevertheless the outline of the story is good and worth reading except the mocking part on madrasis. As an indian,i still look forward to his next level..The Quest Continues....
I haven't started reading "2 states" ...Your criticism is good... ..Many of our citizen thinks that aryans and dravidians are racially very differnt ( In skin tone of course) ...But There is nothing called as Aryan race and Dravidian race.Only language can be classified as Aryan and Dravidian.
